THE JOURNEY CONTINUES + BUILDING DIALOGUE BENEFITS
No Longer Empty
No Longer Empty curates site-responsive exhibitions, education and public programs in unconventional locations around New York City. Creating artistic platforms for collaboration and dialogue around social, cultural and political issues, their exhibitions and educational programs amplify existing community networks and cultural resources. No Longer Empty foregrounds art as a catalyst for community-led conversations about place, local identities, and visions for the future.
Luce Productions produced No Longer Empty's Benefit fundraisers in 2016 and 2017. In 2016, The Journey Continues brought together the No Longer Empty community at the Sugar Hill Children's Museum of Art & Storytelling in Harlem. The evening celebrated the organization’s ongoing work and honored three exceptional women—Ellen Baxter, Sarah Calderon, and Sol Aramendi—for their instrumental work in New York’s arts and cultural communities. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, and an award ceremony, followed by entertainment and dancing. The following year, Luce Productions worked with No Longer Empty to produce their Building Dialogue benefit at the Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx. This unique venue, which once served as a retirement home, became an artistic center and was the site of No Longer Empty's influential 2012 exhibition This Side of Paradise. The event featured an evening of community support, discussion, and celebration of the organization’s transformative impact on local communities.
