ArtTable’s first virtual Benefit & Award Ceremony welcomed hundreds of members and guests from around to honor 2021 Distinguished Service to the Visual Arts Awardee Barbara Tober, journalist, philanthropist, and chairman emerita of the Museum of Art and Design, and 2021 New Leadership Awardee La Tanya S. Autry, Cultural Organizer and Co-Producer of Museums are Not Neutral. The program also celebrated the organization’s 2021 honorees, Susan Unterberg, Founder, Anonymous Was A Woman, Wassan Al-Khudhairi, Chief Curator at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Erin Christovale, Associate Curator, Hammer Museum, Lauren Haynes, Senior Curator, Nasher Museum of Art, and Jami Powell, Associate Curator of Native American Art. Celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary, the program featured a special address from Guerrilla Girls, a limited-edition print sale, and a virtual networking event.
ArtTable is the foremost professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the visual arts. Through a membership network and community initiatives, ArtTable expands opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds and at all stages of their careers, fostering a stronger future for all women in the arts. ArtTable has over 1200 members across 7 countries, with 9 chapters in the U.S., located in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, in addition to members across the country outside these areas.
